Walking exhibition Park Poetik: 1/07/21 - 31/08/21

Young people from Try-Out, who due to circumstances fell outside the regular school circuit or circulated within the social services, created nest sculptures from their personal world of experience. In the workshops they worked alternately in an artistic and philosophical way with the questions "What does it mean for me to have my own place?", "Is there a place where I feel good?", "'Sitting in nests' is a proverb, what does it mean?", "What do I think about the world?", "How would I like the world to be...?".....

Each young person created their own nest with recuperation material and raw wool. On the basis of the testimonies, a RAP was made in collaboration with Rian Snoeks. A QR code for each nest sculpture shows a short film about it.

It will never be the same again. Man plays a major role in the change of his habitat. We are in transition. It is up to us to build the bridge between old and new.

A new nest sculpture will be created 17-18 August by youngsters from the Ratatelier Communa Vorst and the youngsters from Try-Out around a beech tree in the park of Vorst, and so this creation is part of the growing installation Platform Poetik 2.0 GRYOO of Park Poétik.
